Into The Dalek, 1965 version

OK so that was pretty bloody good- a very good proper start for the Twelfth Doctor. It’ll be difficult to top that, I predict the next ep will be somewhat of a dip.

A shame that the entire episode concept was blatantly recycled, but what can you do.

Twelfth Doctor: Sorry I’m late, I got distracted.

Clara: By what?

Twelfth Doctor: You can always find something.

I’ve not even seen the episode that this is from yet, so i’ve no idea of the context… but it’s so GPOY

It went… okay.

(too much hype made this kind of reaction inevitable.. maybe I’ll be able to better objectively think about it if/when I rewatch it in a while)

The main thing I came away from it thinking was that the Twelfth Doctor still hasn’t really arrived yet. He spend most of the episode in the post-regen schitz. We will see him properly for the first time next episode, I reckon.

One thing for sure: I was very disappointed by the new opening titles. Clocks? Really? Fucking really? We managed to avoid that cliché for 50 years!

So yeah, it’s still too soon to judge the new Doctor. hah.

I’m worried that I’m hoping for far too much. I’ve tried so hard to avoid being sucked in by the hype train, but I must admit I’m excited for what I think is much closer to what the Doctor should be like than the previous three.
Please let me not be too disappointed. :P
