I just remembered, there was something on the news before Doctor Who about raising the money to get a memorial or other official recognition for all the women and “Land Girls” that worked so hard during WWII to do their part and feed a starving, rationed nation. A statue, I think they were saying?
I really hope they get it, seeing as they definitely deserve it. And I know a certain few special people that go out often to honour the women of WWII in their own fantastic, unique way.
EDIT: some cursory googling informed me they have in fact already got at least one instance of official recognition already

Summer
I have had literally no summer clothes for most of my life because of this.
Technically I still don’t, unless I use some imagination.
I just can’t wear any less than two layers on my top half, just can’t.
